Our mission statement

Our mission is to provide a service that integrates people into the community, providing social opportunities and friendships by providing meaningful activities that people want, therefore having a service user led service.

Our Company

1.2.1 in the community is an activity centre for people with learning difficulties.
The company is new and was opened on the 1st April 2006.

The company was set up by Paul Checkley and Katy Howard.

The activity centre is managed by Katy Howard and Heidi McAteer who both have a background of working for many years supporting people with learning difficulties and have gained vast experience within this time.

Within our time working in this area we have recognised a need for meaningful and structured activities within a safe and friendly environment, as there are limited resources of this type in this area.
